Re: Ahhhh Printers Are A Nightmare....HELP

Post by meldean »

Hello everybody.

I am setting my girlfriend up in the mug printing business and so far i have managed to decide which mug press will best suit my needs. Going with the coral2.

However my dilema is the printer.

I have seen Epson S22 with ICC Profile that is ready to go with empty reset cartridges. I am also looking at epson B1100 as well. I also have a dilema on which is best for printing photos. 4 colour or 6 colour.

I keep looking at differant printers and inks but keep going round in circles and have come to a point where my brain is fried.

I dont want to spend silly money as we are not sure what the market is like so would like to set up as cheap as possible just to see how it goes but still produce good quality mugs..

Thanks in advance

Ahhh Knightmare is getting worse.

Just been reading the forum and some people are raving about brother machines now..

if this is only for mugs then A4 will do. B1100 and s22 are both 4 colors ;)

Hello Paul and thanks for responding.

Do 4 colour printers print quality photos or would you need 6 colours.

I have a 4 colour printer at home which is not sublimation and that prints off photos fine. Is sublimation ink differant in any way that the quality of the photo would be differant.

Also i have noticed that people seem to have a go at the S22 saying that it is not supported which is putting me off.

Are you the Paul that does ICC Profiles?
