I have a friend who had many tattoos when he was going through, let's just say, difficult times. He has a huge tattoo on his back, I won't describe it as I can think of nothing more offensive but needless to say when we first saw it through his white work shirt it was a shock. He had tattoos removed off his hands, he reckoned it was about x10 more painful than having them put on and x10 more expensive! He had huge blisters for ages after but when it all calmed down he was just left with slight scarring.

Whilst he wasn't really that bothered about the tatts he was finding job interviews etc. difficult as many folk quickly make assumptions about tattoos rightly or wrongly (and these weren't the offensive ones)
I agree full heartedly here dolphins disney etc have no place in the tattoo world. All of mine are works of art of the time.

I regret getting mine done, most of the time it says LUDO except when I am excited when it reads LLANDUDNO

But seriously I have no tattoos and doubt I ever will as they do not do anything for me personally.

I've got 5 in total my first one was about 12 years ago and latest one was only about 3 weeks ago.

i only ever get tattoos that mean something to me i'm not one for just getting random designs.

worst one, on my back, barbed needle, was told it wasn't, best one on my wrist, flew out to Zargreb to meet an amazing artist to do my husbands arm, and thought i cant be here and not get some of his ink on my arm, one that means the most to me - my wedding band - we both have them, very simple, and keeps us both from having to wear the £800 rings i bought (pmsl - but they look good in the boxes)

best tattoo studio's dont use flash, they hand draw - more and more good ones about now, but my oh my the dolphin/tribal brigade are out there in their thousands

My right arm is fully sleeved, fully custom in an old school/traditional style. I have two large ones on my left leg (either side of the calf) and another following on the back of my calf in September. I have Iron Maiden's Eddie as The Trooper on my right calf and I'll be expanding this to a full lower leg sleeve soon. I also have small, personal tattoos on the back of my neck, on my chest (above the heart) and am just now getting the last ideas together for my left arm, which will again be a fully custom, full sleeve.

being a old skinhead, tattoos were part of the scene, can remember being with some lads and a few having Skins tattooed into there bottom lips, my one mate wanted to be different and have skinheads in his lip. still to this day i laugh when i see him as the tattoist run out of space and my mate has SKINHE in his bottom lip.
My tattoos tell my life story, from having my first one at 16 and begging my mum cos i was a member of a Scooter club and we all had them done. I have some right rubbish tatts but i love everyone of them from my Cardiff City (Bluebirds) Not Red. to Taz devil on my leg.
my only regret is not having the money to get my whole sleeves done, but one day!
