I guess the community member mugs are supposed to have elongated circles, personally I would alter the dimensions to allow for this, trick of the eye means you can make them look round even on a curved surface
edit: Looking again.....have you changed the dimensions of your photos by any chance? They look out of proportion!
also will take in the help about the dimensions all a learning curve,
