Re: blonde moment with smaller images for sub

Post by ptholt »

Hi folks,

Just back from two weeks holiday, and im having a real blonde moment.
Client has sent me a TINY jpg of what they would like on a t-shirt, but its only a 6cm wide image.

Normally i would have tried to trace in corel, but its so blocky it comes out like some 80's computer text, am i missing a trick here or is there something i am missing to take a tiny image and successfully increase its size without massive pixelation?

It depends on how many colours are in the image and if it can be vectorised, I sometimes use re-shade which works 'quite' well.

I'm off in about 15 minutes but if you want to email it to me at funky4gifts@yahoo.co.uk I'll have a go if you want :)

but please remember there is a "donate" button, a lot of developers put their work out for nothing as a "CV" so a few euro's via paypal never hurts, a bit like the forum on here

I use this:

http://www.stratopoint.com/cleanerzoomer/

it has helped me out of a lot of trouble when trying to enlarge small jpegs to a size suitable for printing. Again the software is fully functional with a nag screen and not too expensive to purchase if you like.
