Just had this response from Sawgrass:

"Hi Mark

Thank you for your enquiry, we are currently evaluating all our current colour management solutions in Windows 8 environment. If necessary new releases will be published to our website as soon as possible. I would not advise installation of PowerDriver onto a Windows 8 O/S until that time.

Please don’t hesitate if you have more questions."

A bit poor from Sawgrass to be honest. They should have had this sorted ready for Win8's release.

bit disappointing that they don't offer an alternative, like telling you you can use the ICCs, and where to download them instead.

i honestly didnt know there was a windows 8 you live n learn as they say but in the defence of sawgrass wouldnt they need access to windows 8 before general release to enable them to create software to be compatable to windows 8. Its like all software when a new OS is released all software has to catch up and as such when a new OS is released it only tends to be microsoft who have updates and even then not all microsoft software is compatable immediatly i think its probably a little unfair to expect sawgrass to have compatable software on such a new operating system so soon after release. I am assuming of course that windows 8 has only just been released forget all that if its been out a couple of years lol

I'd have thought this would have been looked at before now. Win8 has been on the cards for some time, I had emails months ago about upgrade deals and just this morning eBuyer are pushing it in newsletters.

Hopefully Sawgrass will move pretty quickly on this :-)

It shouldn't be a surprise to Sawgrass that there is a new version of Windows, and there have been versions available for a while for both users to review, and software developers to check compatibility etc, as with all versions of Windows, so I don't see that they have any excuses really.
