Re: inkjet cartridges for sublimation?
Well 'notorious' is defined as 'generally known and talked of'. So I stand by my definition that CISS issues are generally known and talked of.
Re: inkjet cartridges for sublimation?
Martin, obviously you do get a better insight to the problems people encounter more than someone like me would & that is why I said speaking from our own experience & in my opinion. I think we have lost count how many people have posted that they're having a CISS problem & in most cases it comes down to an air leak somewhere doesn't it. I do know how frustrating it can be because when I had the D120 with a CISS I had problems all the time with it. I do know with the D21 if you don't make the small modifications you can have big problems with the CISS. I think I might have just got very lucky with mine.bms;57661 wrote:Depends on the definition of notorious, but given the frequency we take calls from people that have bought an S21 or more recently the S22 and are having issues then I'd say the issues are common enough with this printer type, whether standard printer or multifunction machine.

I will say CISS ink system is perfect for Epson stylus SX130 or S22 both....not much difference in both
Re: inkjet cartridges for sublimation?
I think there are enough reports of people having problems with CISS systems to say that they are definitely not perfect. The idea behind them is great, but you are making the printer do something it wasn't designed to do/in a way it wasn't designed to work, with systems which are on the whole built cheaply. When they work they are brilliant, but at best I would say that they are temperamental, and wouldn't recommend them to a new user, or in fact anyone who is busy and/or easily frustrated.carter2;57798 wrote:I will say CISS ink system is perfect for Epson stylus SX130 or S22 both....not much difference in both
