HELP! Epson s22 Problems

Martin thanks for your feedback- haven't got the original carts. The other 3 colours work fine just seems to be the cyan (blue) which is the problem.

I'm using a ciss with sublimation ink. I don't use the printer as offer at the minute and still in process of getting up and running.
Would i need the icc profile to suit, how much does this cost?

hi.. i have also given up on my epson s22. banding problems started so i did a clean by squirting cleaning fluid direct into the heads via the nozzle.
left each head soaking for atleast 1 hour and then flushed another 1 ml of cleaning solution down each head. Still did not work.. still had banding issues.
checked the ink levels which was full when i put them back in and guess what all the ink had gone... refilled them managed to get the printer working by removing the plugs from the carts. woke up next morning and all ink had gone again..

Now the first time all the inks had emptied i can put down to the amount of cleans it had taken me to it to even start thinking about printing.

The second time i am putting down to the plugs being removed ? might be wrong..

I will get some cleaning fluid and try to flush out see if this works. What do you mean by the plugs?

Depends on what carts you have but mine have a coloured plug towards front of cart and a plain plug to the back. Now the back plug should be removed and the coloured plug should be left in as this is where tou refill the cart.

To be honest. I would not waste your money on cleaning fluid. It did not help my printer out at all.

You are having the sme problems i have had and spent many late nights trying to get it working to the point where some times i get 10 mug prints and then i have to start the whole process of cleaning heads again.

My opinion is ditch the printer and get sonething else which is what i am in the process of doing at the monent.

What printer would you say is best?

The only printer i have had is epson s22 as i am fairly new to this so i could not comment on which is best.

I am moving to a brother printer as i have read alot about them on this forum.

Everybody has there own views on which printer is best so will have to leave that question to the long standing sublimation forum members.

Ok update to my problem with epson s22. I have managed to get the thing working again some how. Lol
i purchased some head cleaner from printerheadshospital and followed instructions and still no joy. I read in the post i think to put cleaner on the pad where the heads park when printer is switched off and leave to soak overnight.
This i did and ledt for 24 hours. Filled my carts up a few cleans and i am back in business.

Now i am not saying yippeee and jumping with joy as i know it wont last long till i have to do the same thing again and yes i am still getting the brother sorted as main printer. But it does mean i have a back up i guess.

That's great news, so there is some hope for me then lol.
I will give it ago of cleaning heads with fluid-to if if this will work.
I hope it does keep going for you and keep me updated on how the brother printer goes.

Well another update for you.

just fired up printer and went straight for print and all going well. Thank god.

Defo will let you know how the brother goes mate no problem.
