Re: Should i wait for the January sales?

Post by Dave271069 »

at mo my epson is doing me fine, but i would like to eventually purchase a Richo a4 sub printer, i can manage over the xmas period but do you think any suppliers will have a special on over xmas or will i save some cash over the January sales, its all about counting the pennies!
some might say why change but after lots of reading i feel the time has come to move to richo and keep my epson as a back up/spare.

Always a tough one.

If I need something for my business I would never wait for the sales, I would purchase it as soon as I need it as my income relies on it. Saving 20-30% on something is not what I look into when purchasing. However, saving money is important, so waiting maybe a viable option. Although if you are going to be purchasing from an authorised dye sublimation supplier then they may not have sales. Not many B2B suppliers do have January sales.

I don't think trade product gets any more discount after xmas than before, there might be deals at Print & Promotionwear, but more likely on complete setups and high end stuff, not the lower end items....
If pennies matter, run your epson until it dies, then order the best you can afford for next day delivery, or use up all your inks and replace then.
There is no point in keeping your epson for a spare, it will clogg up without use, and you will never want to use if after you get the Richo!

If you struggle for sixty quid, run your existing setup to death, try to put as few Pennies aside and only replace when you have to. OR, make a business decision, borrow, beg, or steal, and invest in great kit now.
Good luck.

If your Epson is running fine, then is getting a Ricoh a grass is greener thing?
