Outer Boxes that fit poly mug box
Re: Outer Boxes that fit poly mug box
Anyone know where i can get outer box for poly box, or are all poly box differnt sizes and can someone give me the measurements of a poly box for 10oz mug. please.
~I have been using bubble wrap and mug boxes, and so far only 1 broken handle out of 100, so not bad.
But in the new year ill be opening up to selling abroad as well as uk, so i though i might need better protection.
Although for space i do like boxes and bubble wrap.

I post to the USA with Polyboxs, no outer. No problem.

Do you just put fragile tape around, and does the address label stick to the poly ok?
Re: Outer Boxes that fit poly mug box
Vicki, I send mugs all over the world as far as Australia & New Zealand & use the cardboard smash proof boxes. I've haven't had one broken one yet. The only damaged ones I've had were sent to addresses in the UK.

Hi Ian M
Do you wrap the mugs at all?
Reason I ask is because I thought I would try a couple of hundred. So I did and sent them out and about 5 smashed.
Polyboxes are my preferred choice but the delivery costs for getting a bit high with the suppliers of them.

I only use smash-proof cardboard boxes now, they post for the same price (certainly UK) as the polys but look so much more professional. I used to use the polys and had a few get smashed but not too many.

Hi Simon, I get my mugs from BMS & use the bubble wrap bags they come in which I think does add that bit extra protection. I've had just 4 broken & all of them were to addresses in the UK. The worst place for 3 of the broken ones were in the north of Scotland. All 4 looked like something heavy had been dropped on them after seeing the damage to the boxes.socialgiraffe;61104 wrote:Hi Ian M

I think it can depend on which smash proof boxes you get as some don't look as strong as the ones I have always used. I get mine from Subli Metals http://www.sublimetal.co.uk/?wpsc_produ ... ms&paged=2

Cheers IanM
Will give those a go. The ones I purchased were from Coralgraph I think.
Justin, Understand what you are saying, but I had this discussion with someone the other day about distance sellers. It is my opinion that no one will ever complain about the packaging if the item arrives in perfect condition. This only applies to distance sellers but just a thought. Never had a poly smash on me either.

Re: Outer Boxes that fit poly mug box
That's true but imo the boxes give a more professional finish to the delivered item and this is important
