Re: Coralgraph Rock Slates?
i did a few this past week from the same supplier
never done them before but remembered a few posts on here about heating the slate up 1st
so i left them on top of my woodburner stove for 1/2 hour before hand
then put in the press for 30 sec just to make sure they are blinking hot
and trust me make sure you have a towel or something handy to pick them up as yes they got hot and it hurts trust me lol
i use a cheap chinese press and had it
200c and pressed for 9 mins in this order
slate white up, image, silicon sheet (cheap 1 from asda)
no film etc to remove
i mixed the times etc from coral and bms
and i can honestly say they came out brilliant i was well happy as i did 3 and it was my 1st time with these
the wife even took them to work to show her work mates as they looked that good
so my tip is make sure the things are red hot before even bringing the paper to it
