Re: DSF Facebook Page

Post by Justin »

I've recently updated the DSF Facebook page and intend to start using this regularly.

Please pop in and 'Like' the page when you get a chance :-)

I'm keen to ensure that posts aren't made that at the expense of being on the forum and will watch this closely, it's more for making important announcements, posting useful information and so on.

See you on Facebook! and then back on here of course ;-)

Isn't this going to mean that people are going to post questions on the DSF Facebook page rather than here (as they appear to have done already)? What's the objective of such a page for the DSF?

Okay, but what's the objective of the facebook page for the DSF? From an outsider it looks like a duplication rather than adding something extra, or am I missing something?

Yeah, you're missing something. Maybe I'll be adding something extra, who knows.

Okay, so, for the benefit of members, what's the cryptic missing bit?

Well I trust you do ! :) At the moment it only looks like a message board, so I wonder what the advantage is that would encourage everyone to start using the facebook page regularly instead (or as well).

There's nothing cryptic, no hidden advertising, no underhand dealings....it's a Facebook page pure and simple, if members want to like it that's up to them.

I too am thinking that it might just be a duplication, what will be the benefit of the facebook page? I'm asking as I'm one of the people who have reservations about the BMS facebook page for the reasons already discussed in that thread. :)
