I looked into this machine but decided against it, looks the easiest to use however your kinda restricted onto what you can print as you cant print onto iPad only phone's plus the Sublideck ink is very expensive

The SubliDeck ink shouldn't be any more expensive as the SubliJetR inks work the same. Not sure what actual difference there is or even why there needs to be a difference as standard SubliJetR inks straight from the cartridge work in 3D vacuum machines.

That may be 'a' theory, but standard SubliJetR inks have been tested in a similar (if not the same) 3D vacuum forming heat press and sublimated perfectly at 135-145 degrees. The oven style vacuum heat presses require a higher temp and still the standard SubliJetR inks work as expected.

I do wonder if advocating a different brand of ink specifically for vacuum heat pressing is a marketing act which may turn into a myth (I.e. something claimed as true without critical acclaim or analysis). I haven't seen any reason to try or use different inks yet and that's with printing onto paper and 3D film in both types of vacuum forming heat presses.

At FESPA in Barcelona last year there was a guy demo'ing one of these machines using the SubliJetR inks, the finished product was excellent. The same machine was at the Printwear show last year, still using SubliJetR inks with excellent results. Then I came across another stand, similar machine but using different inks. I spoke to the guys who told me you couldn't use SubliJetR inks and had to use 'their' inks.

What? Sawgrass trying to mislead the public about sublimation inks?!

You can only use these inks is your printers isn't a metre wide
You can't use these inks if you have a Ricoh
If you're doing 3D those inks won't work
etc

I don't think the rhetoric is from Sawgrass, but from a company who is suggesting their inks can only be used for 3D printing.
