Opencart - Changing Add to Cart

I see on some sites that when you click on the Add to Cart button it re-directs you to the item page itself. This allows the customer to personalise the item before adding.

Can anyone tell me how this is done please?

You need to click yes to required in the product option.

For example for the product you have UPLOAD FILE in the options section, if you click YES to REQUIRED at the top of the page the customer can not add the product to cart without uploading the file so it will take them to the product page to select required options.

Aha, I thin kI see now. I had this ok for certain products but as I haven't got the other products set up correctly yet there are no options Many thanks.

Now I'm getting back into it I can see what the issue was, thank again for that.

Is there any way to reduce the size of the product info section, the area that gives the product code/price etc?
