OK..

Is it me.. or does it seem wrong that a mug box is as of April 2nd go from £2.70 to post out right up to £5.65 or am I reading their new charges wrong ??

Because a mug box fits in their small parcels all bar the depth which is maximum 8cm.. and a mug box is 10cm ?

I won't be able to afford to swallow that rise !! lol

I couldn't believe it.. I did have to re-read it !!

The only way I can offer the service now will be to have all mugs collected at my door and couriered out - which means 3-5 days delivery compared to the usual 1-2 days for RM

I don't get how they can warrant that kind of increase :(

Phew - just looked into it more and found that we might be OK (exceptions - will be classed as a small parcel if less that 16cm x 16cm x 16cm)

http://www.royalmail.com/parcels-made-easy

So hopefully, it'll only go up to £3.00

What can be said but.....thieving barstewards. Their service is not wholly reliable. Their lost claims procedure is a joke......all in all it is a bloody cheek increasing prices yet again.

Phew.. I hadn't seen the exceptions..

BUT as stated.. that doesn't cover for 2 mugs..

It is getting beyond a joke now.. I totally agree with the fact that I personally, couldn't get a parcel from Lands End to J.O.G for that price myself.. but they send thousands !!

Yes, if I can get my head around it, I think the following prices would apply for mug

1st class:
1 x mug @ £3.00 / 2 x mugs @ £5.65

2nd class:
1 x mug @ £2.60 / 2 x mugs @ £5.20

Signed for goes up from 95p to £1.10
Stamps remain unchanged.

Your customer is going to be paying the postage - it all depends if they are prepared to pay. We all said this last year but the customers still ordered.
