well actually its the metal strips that come with the things.
working late tonight to catch up with late orders.
got order in for 2 black rubber cases earlier
the picture was totally black with red/white writing.
set up for the usual phone case print as i always do - print - off the press and - brown eh ?
same settings i always use for phone cases....tried again with less temp/and heat....brown ?
this cant be right here..yet again, brown....so fired the heat and temp way down - result - funny shade of blue.
something wrong here....
just out of curiosity, i tryed my normal (plastic) iphone case metal strip, see the rubber cases and the plastic cases have two different size metal backings, so they must be different metal, why ?
cause i printed out the same logo and same temps as always onto the plastic phones metal strip and = BLACK !
went and got through another 8 dam rubber case backings and all turned out shades of brown.
now it cant be the ink/profile, cause they other ones print just dandy.
so it must be the rubber case metal.
funny, cause any other colour printed on the rubber metal strips, turn out fine...just blacks they dont seem to like.
took them off the market till i see what the problem is with these metal backings not printing proper blacks.
so now i got about 12 useless rubber cases of various colours sitting here...and i cant do nothing with them.
i have 50 spare black inserts for the usual plastic cases, but like i said, they dont fit the rubber ones
anyone wanting some rubber cases without the metal strips lol ? cause there going in the B.I.N.
WHAT I NIGHT....sorry morning now :frown:
rubber iphone cases
Re: rubber iphone cases
What kind of cases are they (ie: brand) as we've seen some print brown rather than black when everything else prints perfectly!

Re: rubber iphone cases
Yes, but it is equally a problem with the majority of blanks - they are blank and unbranded, as we are the ones printing them up and branding them - I don't want our products and brand confused because an item we are selling is carrying someone else's logo or branding.
It is a problem unfortunately, and why we need suppliers we can trust with reliability. I doubt many blanks suppliers would volunteer too much information as to which factories/suppliers in China they use for importing from, as that would mean we could bypass them and import ourselves.

Re: rubber iphone cases
A member here prompted me about similar problem to what you're getting but i was getting different colours...
the end discussion was that these inserts are from different suppliers and that no 2 inserts (from suppliers) are the same. I.e. you can have a load of 'good' inserts, and then again you could have a load 'bad' inserts.
If you're buying direct from china there's no real way to sort the problem out, as in..."i want my money back", however if you buy from U.K. suppliers you'll have a way to resolve the situation.
I bought 250 cases from a U.k. supplier but i noticed that the protective film on the inserts were slightly different shades of blue! The darker 'blue' ones gave a much better colour print compared to the lighter blue ones. i noticed also that the difference in protective colour was uniform in the way they were packed i.e. i would get say 20 light blues and then 30 dark blues.
I contacted the company and told them the problem, they were great as always and said to package the whole lot and send them back. A day later i got the replacements and they were all dark blue and printed just fine. I've ordered 100's more from them since then and suffice to say they don't use the 'blue' coloured inserts anymore
And so...your problem is probably down to cheap inserts my friend. Dont throw the cases out!!! they're fine, its the inserts that are rubbish. And if, like most of the cases, they'll take other inserts just fine!
If u wanna offload them PM me lol
