just went for a look on ebay and the first one I look at was scammers beware of buying even with good feedback, So I'm going to give ebay a miss as I have no idea how to tell if it is a genuine one or a copy, But thanks for replying.

Do you want photoshop or photoshop elements?

I only ask as photoshop is expensive and if you don't need all the whistles and pops then elements is ideal (and cheaper).

Have you used it before? If the anser is no then go for elements and get say photoshop elements 9 (10 is the new one) as that's a good starter.

Im not sure if it would be any use but I needed a cheap version of photoshop and found it was a better deal to get it bundled. I opted for a graphic tablet that came with the software. It was only photoshop elements 6 but does the job just great. This here is similar to the one I have....

i brought my photoshop elements 7 from ebay, cheap, and no problems.

You should be able to pick elements 7 for £15-20 from ebay

I've used photo shop, but have a new printer and new laptop that will sit along side the new printer, I want to transfer photo shop images through the new laptop, but I cannot find my photo shop disk or bloody number, so if I brought photo shop elements will the images that have been been done in cs3 (all the images changes done) and use photo shop elements would that work. If it did that would solve my problem and save me a bit of money.

If the file is a psd (photoshop) format then both can open them.

But, if the file has multi-layers when created in photoshop, you may find these layers locked when trying to open them in elements :(
