not saying it won't - just it might?

If you want, you can send me a file and I'll open it up in both (I haver both installed) and see what happens for you??

If you already have photoshop I am sure there is a way for you to find out your product code within the program files so you would only have needed to get a copy of the program to install.

If 'elements' will do the trick just look at the digital photography magazines because they occasionally give 'elements' away as a freebie.

If you install Belarc advisor: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html on your computer it tells you the serial of everything installed, plus a load of other very useful info.

Not entirely correct buddy. It depends on the format and if layers have been locked when creating the file in photoshop (not elements).

I have had many files that have been created in photoshop (CS edition) with many layers. When trying to open up that file in elements the layers are all locked. Elements is good but obviously not as powerful so it does not have as much to offer ............ such as handling smart objects etc (all of which can be handled in a CS version).
