Ricoh SG3110DN INK VANISHING?

I leave mine on all the time.. even when not used
It does all the maintainance.. and mine doesn't lose that much ink :/

from memory, the initial installed cartridges are only small starter cartrridges and you don't get as much use from them as you do with proper replacement carts, something to do with priming the heads or something .....

That's not the case with the SubliJetR carts as they are all the same capacity.

Don't know what your printer's been doing so I can't comment precisely. I'd update the firmware first:

are you looking at the display on the front of the printer, or checking the actual percentage?

Because the display is not accurate.

the lcd display is only a guide to ink capacity.
If yiou can find the engineer sub menues there is all sorts of extra data about your machine that could be useful.
When I get a new printer I weigh a full cart and an empty one, to give me a true idea of exactly how much ink I am getting from each, more of a geek thing than actually useful, .... but of you can find the sub sub menu settings, you might find that the ramaining capacity is not what the crude bar chart indicates!
Mine hit empty eventually, then seem to run for ages and ages before actually needing changing!
