Re: Poor Service from Xpres - Again

Post by Zipdorf »

After having poor service from Xpres in December I thought I would try again. I wanted a price for 1,000 9 x 9 Square Coasters. "Are they "Unisub" products you offer? The "sales adviser didn't know". "Could you find out" I asked? This seemed like too much trouble so was simply told - yes (but could tell they hadn't asked).

What is the price for 1,000? They gave me a price. I had read on this forum about someone getting 20% discount, so decided to phone back and try for better price. Two and a half hours and three phone calls later and no one could tell me. A manager was going to phone me back. They never did. Then a sales assistant gave me a price a price - much higher - in fact no discount on ordering just 40!

How do these people stay in business?

I purchased a studio mug press from them late last year and I am in the market for two more. Guess who will NOT get my business - or for the Roland Cutter I'm about to source.

Sorry for the rant. But it helps my high blood pressure.

It's such a shame, I keep hearing these stories. I'm now looking at a Versacamm but I'm afraid I won't be talking to them about it. My order arrived today, 10 days after I ordered it, 3 days after I cancelled it! I was also buying samples for new products but have sent the lot back, maybe not £1000's but the Versacamm would have been a decent sized order.

Justin, speak to Roland direct, drop me a mail as I have a contact there. I am sure they will be able to do you a good deal. Plus Versacamms are about to come down in price so may be worth holding off for a month or so.

With regards to poor service, I agree and do wonder how some companies stay in business. As some of you know, I have been after 2000 cup and saucers. Only a couple of companies bothered to call me back and have been very helpful BMS and The Transfer Press. I have not used Xpress for a couple of years now as I find their prices very high, but after reading this and Justins recent thread I do not think I will be bothering with them in the near future.

It's not as if we are expecting something special. I don't understand why companies like this don't employ people who are interested in Sublimation and perhaps run their own part time home-based sublimation business. This way you could speak to staff who understand our requirements and are interested. You would think top management would think of this as it leads to higher profits - something these people DO understand.

I have always had superb service from Xpres & I cannot fault them at all on their customer service. I had some damged items from them & they refunded me the money straight away. In fact during my last conversation on the phone with them I said I sometimes find myself near them. They said to let them know the next time I was going to be there & to come & have a look around which was nice.

Justin...for your Versacamm I can thoroughly recommend Grafityp. The people there have been excellent to me.
