Well, I have put it off a few times now!... Poor Dave has had a nightmare with his cutter and I have volunteered to retrieve it from our main road where he threw it in a moments madness!... Im sure we have all been there in some way or other!...
I just hope that its not in too many pieces or the local yobs have had a footy match with it.... might be a bit difficult to tape it back to its original state.
Anyway, Dave finishes work at 3pm, Im going round at 4pm to attempt to install the cutter for him..... I got my beer head on and lets see if both of those things mingle! I know I shouldnt but in this hour of need... what can one do?. Hoping he has plenty of John Smiths or red wine as I dont drink Bud,..... unless really bullied!..... seems a shame to leave the sunny garden... I could have actually tried weeding (my garden) or pruned my olive tree. Im happy with the couple of snaps of my dogue de bordeaux chilling in the sun... (got to remember the sun cream for her nose next time). My collie cant get her head out from between the lattice fencing... shes been there a week now... watching the neighbours cat!.... I really should feed her before I go around to Dave's. Just noticed a patch of ungrown grass where she is sat!.... anyway.... lets all cross our fingers and thumbs and hope and prey that at the end of my first meet-up with Dave, it will have been a successful one!.... Im sure its going to end in a party!... his wife is out for the night and mine landed on the Isle Of Wight 4 hours ago! Happy Days!

Well, perseverence and a bottle of red later!.... What a nice guy Dave is!.... I was expecting something else!... honestly!... But he is just like me!, he might beg to differ but thats his oppinion! hahahaha... Had a great convo about his set-up and his plans etc. I actually really enjoyed being there!. His doggie is to die for... she is soooo beautiful! a little white and black staffie! Sooooo sweet! Next time I will take some hankies to wipe up all the kisses she gave me! :) Anyway... rambling again!... We have now managed after 3 hours to whittle his problem with the cutter down to a cable problem!.... We transported his cutter to my house and plugged it in without any modifications and VOILA!... worked!... replaced my cables with his.... didnt work!.... tried the USB with my serial cable, cutter confirmed a connection but no cut!... tried his serial with my USB.... same reaction... tried his serial and USB .... nothing!... I think we cracked it Sherlock!... and thanks for the bottle of Merlot! :).. A very nice down to earth chap is that geezer Dave!
