I am fairly new to all this sublimation stuff. However I do like to be a bit adventurous and try things that may or may not work (often not) ...only way to find out is to give it a go.
Well I read somewhere that as long as the fabric is 100% polyester it should sublimate well. So off I went to the fabric store, purchased some polyester and went home to experiment.
This is one of the items I now make. Took a fair bit of trial and error but finally produced a finished product
I am hoping to maybe try and come up with more ideas any suggestions would be great.

I Love them... a superb idea and something I think you should try and market selling blanks of.
How much did they cost to make and how long do they take to sew together?

Re: Personalized Photo Puppets!
Thank you socialgiraffe,
Once I had the pattern worked out (after many failed attempts) it really doesn't take long to sew them up. The fabric won't fray so only needs to be sewn and then trimmed with pinking shears for a tidy appearance
Cost can vary on the difference in price of fabric, also a little work needs to be done with the photograph ie cropping some of the clothing to fit the arms. I guess everyone uses different types of paper, ink, heat press, etc I am also in Australia where most things are expensive, so costs will vary according to these differences.
I also leave these blank on the back and a message can be added if wanted.
I hadn't really thought of selling the blanks, Although I did search unsuccessfully for blanks before I attempted making my own.

Those look interesting Sharyn. I guess if we were all to think 'outside of the box', there are dozens of alternative products we could make up ourselves with some poly material and imagination.
Re: Personalized Photo Puppets!
Thanks New Horizons.....Yes there are I am sure. It is fun to try and come up with something a little different. we restrict our own imaginations way too often. I find I am often wary or afraid of attempting something different, other times I just go with it and add a little bit of determination and hope for the best. If it doesn't work ..well so be it.
