new press arrived today

Update, the press is still working fine, i need to add some rubber feet to it to stop it sliding about my worktop, also i need to clamp it down as when i pull the handle up the whole thing will lift sometimes depending on the press pressure i have added.

Other than that its nice to have a big press, A2 vinyl goes down perfectly for me now!! thank god. God help me when i get the bed press!

this thing is a monster though! much bigger than i thought, i have it heating at the moment, i will put pics up later of the unit and also if i can find my tape measure confirm the actual size of the heat plate. also some refence measurements of the unit.

when the arm is released the springs on the unit kick it up nicely, some small hydraulic arms , same as a car boot lid would be nice to slow it down, i might look into adding them.

Hi paul, yes mine is 61.2 cm a2 size its actually a mm or so over. and its still going strong, its a monster to use now i have it set to a good pressure and the pull up after pressing. one thing is to put it on a good surface, it slides on the metal base so i got some adhesive door seal foam and stuck it around the bottom edges and it now stays put.
