Epson 1400 parts supplier?

Hi everyone,

I'm on the hunt for spare parts for my epson 1400, Cartridge contacts board to be exact.

The printer has decided to tell me the inks are empty which they are not. After a couple of weeks trying many different solutions i am stumped.

Does anyone know a company who sell parts?.

Easier to buy another printer but funds will not allow

Do you have the reset disc for the 1400?

No i don't, I was under the impression the reset disc is only good if your printer is prompting the message that it has reached the end of its use or flashing red lights.

Also, a quick look on ebay and there are a couple of these machine with a few days left and under £5.00

Might be worth watching them as I am pretty sure it would be cheaper to purchase and cobble together 1 good one.

Yea i have been watching them, The only issue is that they are all around 300 miles away from me and there not willing to courier it.

This is a link to an ssc service utility that could solve your problem. Sorry its in German but Im sure you can find it in English. Never used it so cant help .

The one for sale in Spalding is very close to me. I would be willing to go and collect it and then post to you via City Link. Cost about £20.00 all told (which includes a bit of fuel and time for packing etc).

I'm going to give the software James & Earl Smith suggested a go and see if that resolves the issue, If not i'll take it from there.
