I've now tried, lower pressure, lower time, higher time, higher pressure low time, high time. The only difference is low pressure seems to give a patchy image, some dark, some light. Whatever I do, it's still blurry. The image is still sharp on the paper. I think now, it can only be the mugs! Very annoying!

+1 for this one dave!

cupsforcops, try to higher the temp up to to 190-200C and see what happens. I am not expecting great results but we will see if sharpness improve or not.

I will do that, good idea. Don't know if a photograph will show it very well, but I'll try. Just trying a photograph now, to see how that looks

This is just a picture of some of my wasted mugs. Can't get one close enough in focus to be able to upload it. I will try using my tripod and posting one later

Yeah I did, this one was just to show you some of the wasted mugs!!! :-o I have taken them but the picture's themselves are blurred as I'm too close even with the Macro, might be able to put the camera on the table and try again.

These two pictures are of probably the worst one of the lot. This shows really bad bleeding/blurring, most are not as bad as this, but this is a good indication of the problem. Incidentally, just did a photograph one and it is perfect!

Can I ask a question... do you tape your artwork down to your mug before clamping ?

To me that 'looks' like ghosting off the paper or bleed. Only time I've seen was when paper shifted during print (not taped securely) or didn't come straight off when removed. I dunk all mugs in room temp. water. You'll see the dunk/fan/leave methods discussed in detail on the forum already so I won't go into this but for me at least I need to cool quickly to avoid bleeding.
