new to 3d sublimation. problem with perfecting the corners for 3d iPhone covers

Hello this is my first post. Thank you first of all as there has been a lot of information here which has really helped me to get started printing iPhone cases. I am using a ricoh sg3110dn printer which is an awesome bit of kit and my set up includes a 3d vacuum press i got from sun fly sublimation over in china. I also got all of my cases from there and jigs. The only problems i am incurring is that pretty much all of the cases from them seem to have minor scratches only once they have gone through the sublimation process. Have any of you guys had the same problem ? My main problem which i am quite desperate for some tips is how is the best way to go around getting the corners perfect. I still don't seem to have perfected this technique and would be massively grateful for any tips and tricks at all. Can't wait to here what has worked for you guys. Have a nice day !

You have to fold the paper at the corner (there will be seam on the case). I got mine blank from sunfly too and most of them have scratches. Have you try fitting of the case? Mine case does not fit after printing and cooling in the cooling jig (its a bout 1/1.5mm longer than ther phone incase of iphone 4/5). Im still trying to fix this. And about the glossy case, do yours have some kind of texture on it after printing?

Although not related I did purchase some kit and blanks from Sunfly a few years ago. Ended up throwing the whole lot away (including machine) as it simply did not do what it was supposed to do. Seems like they have not changed for blanks anyway.

Might be worth trying out a few blanks from BMS. I imagine they are more expensive but at least you have UK back up.

Yeah we have had a couple of issues getting the cases to fit the phones, we have had a few that were perfect but little consistency. I think it all depends on how long it takes you to get it of the jig and into the tray, are you applying pressure onto the case when it is in the cooling tray?

We are struggling with the sizes of the cases, we though we had gotten rid of the problem but now thinking it was a possible fluke, how long have you been trying to get the cases to work ushi? We feel like we are making progress but not quite there!

I took it out and put it into the jig right away. I also apply pressure onto the case but its doesn't help.

well. About a week, I didnt check the fitting before until I do 1 sample for a friend. Its not just the iphone case, the s3, note2 doesnt fit either. And they dont have cooling jig.

Have you tried with any other polymer? I saw a post about a guy who made his own cooling jigs, have you got anyone near you in Vietnam with the same machine that you could go see?

Ushi have been doing a bit trial and error this morning and we did manage a perfect fit with sun fly's cases. What seems to of worked was 195 degrees and just over 10 minutes pressing time. Hope this helps. We have not yet invested into samsung cases yet but are looking to do so by the end of week. Let me know how you get on i hope this can help you!

Tried up to 220 degrees and 10min still the same . By the way, increase the Temp and Time too high will give abit blurry image. Im trying to make custom clam for cooling. About Samsung case check the S3, they have chipping near the charging port with the glossy one.
