Correct if you ONLY take cost of the ink into consideration. paper wastage is a lot higher, a lot more time consuming if you are doing things like garments or mugs as cutting them out takes longer, space costs money so it costs more to put in your office and it is highly recommended to get a maintenance package when using wide format printers which add a considerable amount to the total cost per print.but the cost-per-print is appreciably lower on the Epson

Though the cost saving in wide format bulk inks compared to Sawgrass small format inks will easily cover the cost of a maintenance contract or an additional spare printer. And, if your premises already has the space floor space for a big printer, then it's not really costing you more in those terms either.
Out sublimation paper rolls and inks cost per print work out so small it doesn't really factor in our costings per product, and are just seen as ongoing general costs
Depending on how you lay out your prints doesn't need to be a problem at all - we can fit a lot of iphone covers or mugs across a roll width, and the printer cuts off each row, so we only have to cut between the individuals in one direction (which you would have to do on A4 anyways.) Also for flat work, like phone covers, coasters, we can print them off in sets to go onto the large press in one go. It's a different work flow, and wouldn't work as well for doing one-off personal printing, but if our churning out larger orders, and/or repeats of the same design it can be a better way to work.

Re: Which printer should I look at next?
Hi guys and gals.
I am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of someone or a company that can supply me with quality pre printed a3 sublimation ready prints.
I have some flags I want to sublimate.
I already have a heat press.
Cheers
