Around the edge of the A4 a line
Re: Around the edge of the A4 a line
Hi I'm using a clam press. I put my A4 image on my T-shirt and press at 180c for 50s On removing the is a visible mark around where the A4 paper has been. Its not dirt or printed but from the heat I think. I cut the edge of the transfer paper but it is still there....do others get this?

Yes, you'll find a few posts on the forum about this. The only way to eliminate that mark is to tear the edge of the paper all around. This breaks the paper apart and reduces the harshness of the edge. You have to do this by hand though, you'll see the paper 'split' as you start to tear. Downside is you need to print far enough away from the edge to enable the tear not to interfere with the print

Do you just tear around the picture or tear a layer of it to thin it? many thanks
Re: Around the edge of the A4 a line
Is this the same with all t shirts you press or just the ones I have...?
Re: Around the edge of the A4 a line
Ok that problems solved lol many thanks...the square of the heat press leaves a mark but it irons out.

Ok I'm pressing at 180 for 50 seconds. The Fabric is outside 100% polyester and inside 100% cotton. I tore the paper around and so thinned the edge which works but does every one get this if they dont tear the paper? Also I get a square from the press mark that irons out, but is everyone tearing paper and ironing each t shirt?

Yes, this paper mark is common I'm afraid. The press mark should fade with washing.
