What method are you using to make up acetates?

What equipment are you using to print onto your acetate?

A dedicated inkjet, copier etc?

Minolta colour laser 2300 - quite an old printer now but gives cracking black acetates.

So is most of what you do solid blocks of colour then John?

For more complex designs is that when a printer is required to print with 1/2 tone dots? And maybe something I shouldn't even be thinking about at this stage?

Halftones are used for full colour work (photographs) and also for shading as screen printing is spot colour you need these dots to attain the different shades. Full colour work would require 4 screens made from haltones (CMYK) possie's which when printed in close registration produce the photo. Not something you should be trying if your new to printing - I'd stay clear of halftones until you have been screen printing a while - also to produce halftones on an acetate (possie) I think you need a postscript printer.

Does the laser shrink the Acetate or am I thinking of vellum?

standard inkjet will do the half tones too. Although I'm currently in the market for a large format printer. Any suggestions?

epson b1100 (up to a3) with regular (as in cheap) ink on acetate from madaboutink on ebay. cheapest i've found the quantities i use.
