will using the powerdriver make the ink colour better as i just printed another mug using the old pre powerdriver print i had but tried the new settings on the pres but still the black came out gold! ?

Hi Justin, i heathed the press up to 180 degrees with a blank mug clamped in the press, then when at 180 i replaced the mug with the mug to be printed with the print paper attched, then clamped that mug for 180 seconds and straight after 180 seconds took the mug out and took the paper off the mug

What paper are you using and is this going brown/discolouring?

Hi thanks Justin for all your help , im turning into a pain now sorry, the paper is the one coralgraph send out with the kit i bought however i did also buy a more expensive paper to use once i had everything running right. i have noticed on the non printed side of the paper that actually toughes the heat mat that there is slight discolouring on the paper,

Not a pain....just a challenge! lol 
OK, in my experience the Coralgraph paper really isn't that good. That said, it should still give you a decent print with regards to colours, it's detail I found a struggle with this paper. Xpres paper is excellent but I now only use TruPix.
Try reducing your temp down to 160c.

ive just put the 2 mugs together and the one i over over heating is completly gold but the one i did this morning is a brown?? may be i need to cut the tempreture down even more? and then may stay black?

Could you post some pictures as that would help.
Before you print anything else can you check the following:
Image is printed on the correct side of the paper
If you are using a photo is it definitely black (check the CMYK breakdown)
The Sawgrass powerdrive is installed and you are printing to the Powerdriver

Ok, ive just printed another test mug using powerdriver and black writing, the colour is dark grey and lightens as in goes down to the bottom of the mug going patchy, def getting better but still not right, i heated until 160 degress before putting mug in press this time and run for 180 seconds
