ebay Giggle
Re: ebay Giggle
I have very few problems with eBay but this arrived in my messages this morning and made me chortle.
"Hi,
Your mug cracked once water was poured into it. I have pictures to prove so. Can you please send me another one as the quality is poor?"
It was signed for a month ago.... in Australia. Nasty water in Australia, be warned if you go on holiday.
I politely pointed out 14 days signed for etc so...No!
Probably end up with claim back from Paypal now....

Re: ebay Giggle
These customers want everything. A mug that holds water, c'mon....
I suspect you will end up losing the PP claim so personally I would just send them another one and suck up the loss.

Re: ebay Giggle
Im staying away from ebay, its too weighted in the customers favour and you will lose a Paypal claim, have your feedback score ruined just for the sake of one person trying to get something for nothing
I was there in the early days as Im most people here were, and it was fine then.
but your mugs should hold water really !

I did relent and sent another. It turned out to be a present hence not opened until now.

Re: ebay Giggle
I had a customer a wee while back who left negative feedback with the comment "just not happy".
I contacted the customer and asked in which way was he not happy with the product, or was there an issue with the product.
He replied "I'm just not happy".
I asked again what was wrong with the product, was there a fault etc.
The reply came back "I'M NOT HAPPY!"
I left it after that.... whats the point in trying to resolve it. Mind you it did leave me with the mental picture of someone sitting in their living room screaming "I'M NOT HAPPY" at the universe, time and time again without actually explaining why

This is what I mean - Some people leave negative if they are in a bad mood about something not connected and it is not a fair system.

Re: ebay Giggle
As a customer, I had a few situations where something like this happened and I chased up the seller. In every case after a few messages back and forth I eventually had either a replacement or refund offer. In each case I asked for a replacement, because the item really was broken - and in each case I offered to help with cost of freight for the replacement if they would provide the item.JMugs;79140 wrote:I did relent and sent another. Some were grateful for the offer of postage or part postage. In most cases I deliberately looked at the other stuff they had for sale and found something else I needed that they could supply.
Put some smiles of faces of sellers that I am sure initially thought I might be ripping them off.
It ain't all bad lol

Made me chuckle ...
I once had a t shirt brought back, a year later! Mother bought it for her son who had moved out of home and said the lettering had fallen off, she brought it back in with an iron mark to the front and as she had said 'no lettering'. No doubt they were stuck to her sons new iron.
I put a post on here at the time asking what folks would do (it wasn't a fleabay purchase BTW) and i think every one said to give them another. Haven't seen him again so no doubt he has learnt how to iron.
