I'm also new to this, are you sure the heat is even all over the Platen of your heat press?

An even pressure is a must. While my heat press is ok for t shirts its absolutely no use to print larger hard items such as the hardboard placemats so I dont bother now. Maybe just try tightening the pressure just a tad? to try to overcome it.

Hey Mandy, when doing placemats press for 50 seconds then rotate the mat 90* and press for another 20 seconds and then rotate again 90* and then press for another 15 seconds. This works for me.

Hey Nash, shame i didnt think of that (silly me) i don't know why as i had to do that with my old mug press. Blonde or what??? I No longer keep the stock to give it a whirl either as i'm trying to reduce everything for my big 'close'.

Hope you are ok?

Hmm... yes it is. I do think our shop here has some potential to offer various other services. Our premises are also big enough but unfortunately after 23 years in it, watching the changes, (many of which I don,t enjoy) My hearts just not in it.
Hope the Christmas season keeps you busy. I have canvases coming out of my ears this year.
