cant see how thats enforceable i buy candy stripe paper bags for use in my shop one of my customers does a roaring trade in hiring out candy carts for weddings and then you you have all the sweets that call themselves candy im pretty sure these girls called candy and who else can use it ?? well the candy man can . as for saga well where are all the pensioners gonna go now they cant go on saga holidays . what about my forth comming novel the dye sublimators saga ok theres no novel but surly you cant trademark a widley used descriptive word . Think ill nip off and trademark the word pretty or perhaps ill trademark the word court that way no one would ever be able to tell me they will see me in court withoput breaching trade mark

Re: Candy trademarked
It will only be relevant in certain categories, video games and T shirts etc. They won't go after anyone selling candy sweets etc. Anything that has the potential to confuse customers with their own brand.
I already have a product with candy in the name, I won't need to change that.

Re: Candy trademarked
I would think that the 'trademarking' of these two refers to the 'look/style' of the words not the words themselves. The American market for 'candy' is massive so I can't see the manufacturers of 'candy' (sweets) having to stop using it on their products.
Re: Candy trademarked
If it's registering a trademark, then this includes the style/design/font of the word, and is not the word itself.
