oki printer
Re: oki printer
Thanks for that DS Designs, I had a few test prints out (on plain paper) and it looks to be printing nice and clean. Haven't had time to do any tranfers but I will note your settings and give them a whirl when I get time.
Cheers John

Re: oki printer
Both Justin and I saw the SunAngel machine at FESPA and while it looks superb at first glance there are several things that make me wary of the system and how good it is. Have a search on this forum and you will also see that the system is considerably more expensive as well when you actually start making transfers

Re: oki printer
I received a text from a different company I've not heard of saying that they were now ready to go to market with Sun Angel and thanked me for visiting them! Very strange. Not sure if there's been a name change, takeover or what here. I put my own order with SA on hold for a while and that was the last I ever heard from them......until this text!

Hi SG
I do indeed need to pop over as once again you are the cavalry coming over the ridge ;o) thanks for the offer.
Sorry for the tardy reply - came home last night to find no power in half the house - oh joy. Have spent today remedying situation.
I'll PM you after the 31st - at this rate i could still be sorting out my tax return. Submitted the wifes this afternoon once the power was back on. For 13/14 I will do the tax returns on April 6th - no really I will. Well maybe.
regards
Arthur
Re: oki printer
Must admit, have only just done my tax return, I hope to get it in earlier this year as well!

Re: oki printer
Back to original talk about Oki white tshirt prints, - there is no comparison!
Touch/feel is very good, but not invisible like sub, and no, doesn't wash as well as vinyl or sub either BUT - it opens up a whole new world of decoration options...... floating full colour on any coloured garment, and at low(ish) temperature - just 130c !
It isn't competition to the other forms of print, because it can do things that they cannot!
Go see at Print & promo!
Just spoken with Sunangel, they are at PnP with their 2 printer system, you need 2 printers, first laser is CMYK, then you put the printed sheet through the second printer running 2 white toners (you create duplicate artwork in solid black) which prints the white on top of the cmyk
Then you use their 2 part transfere papers - at 120c to print the design
I understand the printers are about £400 each, and the paper about £2.20 a set
Registration is apparently within about 2mm for the second print, I look forward to reviewing their results.
See you there!

Re: oki printer
The sunangel's are using OKI 30x (301 etc.) series printers - the cmyk can be had for about £80! and I see no reason not to just buy their white tonors and slap them in your own cheaply purchased OKI but will see how its done at P&P next month. 2mm registration however isnt anywhere near good enough for production.....
