Re: which printer
Which A4 printer do you currently have, and what inks?
Do you have refill carts, CISS, or prefilled carts?
You may be able to take some/all of this with you to the new printer, so this could inform your choice of Epson model.

Re: which printer
It's is a epson sx235w complete with ciss with sub ink don't make of ink but about half full
Re: which printer
Ah, if you don't know the make of ink, are you also then saying you wouldn't know where to get more when you ran out? If you know where to get more, and it is good ink, then you may as well continue using it, but you will need a new ICC profile making for your new printer, as it won't print the same as your current one.
I don't think your CISS is compatible with current Epson printers, so you would need a new one of those, or refillable cartridges to put your inks into.
Currently you have only a 4 colour printer, which is all the Ricohs can do, whereas Epson do give you option of more ink colours, which can give you better colour reproduction, although only you can answer as to whether this would be a benefit for your products/designs. We have a 7 colour Epson printer, and love the better colour we get compared to the 4 colour model we used to have.

Re: which printer
There's junk ink on Ebay, and some high quality stuff too. The sellers of the unlicensed inks tend to get shut down by Sawgrass on grounds of patent violation - sometimes within a day, or sometimes a few weeks. You're best sticking to branded and licensed inks, so you know what you are getting and then know that you can get more of it, rather than some random unmarked small bottle, or one in undecipherable Chinese!
