One thing I would suggest is that it be a rule that all communications about a sale (apart from addresses/payment details etc) be kept in thread rather than PM's.

Agreeing to purchase something via PM means someone could sell the same thing several times over without any of the purchasers being any the wiser.

better would be to ask once a buyer has paid to declare it in the thread.. if I sell something I don't want my negotiations to be public particularly if I've dropped the price (cause you'll be sure the next guy will expect a similar discount)

I will be honest and say it was me who was scammed on the forum.
SO A QUICK NOTE TO HELP OTHERS
My visa/debit card is linked to my PayPal account, which I do not keep a balance in and because of this, my bank the Halifax have covered my payment and will refund it into my account within 10 days under the sale of goods act (goods not received after being paid for ) So nice to know the banks sometimes help

NOTE
If I had a balance then what ever came of my credit card to make the payment is covered only.
I was also scammed just waiting to hear from my bank who say wait 30 days to see if goods arrive. Hopefully they will refund me after the 30 days

If it is a scam, it seems odd that she didn't scam Paul for both presses, and also sell them both to me. Maybe she is just too busy to reply to emails or too busy to sort out packaging things up and getting them posted? Or maybe it is scam, and she's just not a very good scammer.
Apart from goods not turning up yet, has she over sold any of the advertised items to people here ... she said she had 2 mug presses, and one has sold to Paul, so did only one other member here buy the other one or more?
