Agreed, instead of trying to bend the rules and get as close as you can to the line without actually crossing it, just stay far away from the line.ASLCreative;84978 wrote:The best way is to create your own designs - that way you know you are not breaking any laws.

Re: Photo copyright & Ebay
I beg to differ on this one. We have worked very closely with some of the major bike manufacturers and not only are they extremely strict in the context of pictures/logos used, but they come down on anyone 'bending' these guidelines etc very hard and very frequently. My family work very closely in the merchandising side of one particular bike manufacturer and know those responsible for checking these things. I have seen trading standards raids at a fair few of the bike shows/race meetings on the traders there. Even the official owners clubs for some of them are not allowed to display the logo on any merchandise etc outside of within the owners club's own logo etc.Draycott;84560 wrote:No it was not Honda that complained.
I have never had any problems with Bike mugs, I was talking to some other traders at a sublimation show and opinion appeared to be so long as you make it clear they are not official merchandise the bike companies are not concerned.

Ebay have a programme called veto if use images of copyright it gives the rights to the person who owns the brand to have you removed firms spend thousand on brand awareness and if u use that and advertise goods they will have you removed most images on google have incripted code that u can't see but they can and will let u use boult then hit you with a writ for damages.
as for Honda I'm sure you know it belongs to Honda and not you so will explain why your mug has been taken down as this is a trade mark if u use images it's your responsibility that you should not use in less you own the brand .
if you spent 1000s on brand and some one used it im
sure you would do the same as a brand you protect it at all cost
