I have a really bad Mobile Signal here - I am a TalkTalk customer and have a great monthly Mobile deal for £6 a month (it uses the Vodafone network).
So, I am looking for a way to improve my mobile signal - I just noticed this 'Sure Signal' device and wondered if any members are using one of these and of so, your comments ?
I see they are £100 but there are many available at the usual auction site for far less.
Vodafone Sure Signal ?

Never used one myself, don't see the point when i have a landline
I know folk here that do have them because mobile signal is dead at home, they get a full 3G signal on their mobiles in the house using them.
Re: Vodafone Sure Signal ?
Thankfully don't use vodafone and if they were the only mobile phone company in the world would never use them after the treatment I had with them a number of years ago!

Be worth checking if it'll work without being a Vodafone customer (even though TalkTalk is using their network) before purchasing one.
Re: Vodafone Sure Signal ?
I do have a landline but don't want to spread that number and start getting spam calls - I even looked at getting an 0871 number yesterday, you dont need to register and pay the 'Phonepayplus' annual registration fee for that and you take a cut of all calls coming in
I had a problem with spam calls in the past which came in at all hours and was not at all funny.
But Didn't go that far..lol.
I do get a signal but only if my mobile is in an awkward corner of my front room - its annoying as I am missing calls.
I am on Voda for the reasons above - a talktalk customer, I get 2gb data and 1000mins a month with unlimited messages.. we have such a signal problem here I even have a bad TV signal, may go freesat soon but I recently purchased a NowTV box which has been great so-far.

Re: Vodafone Sure Signal ?
I have a VOIP phone, using my broadband. Only cost £6.00 per month, (UK Calls only plan) ALL my 02, 03, 01 numbers are FREE, yes I did say FREE, using Vonage. Had it for years. when I move I take the small box with me, plug it in and the number never needs changing! You can actually choose any, yes any area as well. If you want one with a USA code you can have it, even if you live in th euK. I decided for the bog standard 0207, but there is no limit to what area code you have. You even pay less for the 084xxx number, of course 0800 numbers are free! And I can use my mobile phone as an extension! http://www.vonage.co.uk/call-plans/ Look them up.
Re: Vodafone Sure Signal ?
I'm looking at Vonage as we speak - I had Skype for a few years but was not at all impressed with the call quality or being tied to some sort of computer.
Things have come a ling way since then.
as for the area code - I don't see a need for anything fancy ! I will have my own area code if possible.
