Ricoh - How often do you change cartridges? & ink usage

i got my ricoh 3110 from bms never had a problem, i came to running out of ink at december (the ink warning sign came on) but i have to be honest despite it reading at 0% it seemed to last forever , im on warning again now from changin maybe mid jan and it is again still going , just ordered more ink from bms last week , there paper is good as well
