Cloudy transfer
Re: Cloudy transfer
Skye, thanks for the link, I've watched several dye sub video's on youtube, but I hadn't seen that one. That my have been the problem right there!
Paul, there isn't any tag or anything on them, but I'm sure they're for ink jet because I bought them with my printer.

Re: Cloudy transfer
Is there a high gloss, shiny finish or are they matte? The later would suggest laser transfer coasters as Paul has said. If they are high gloss, then I'd pre press then for 45-ish seconds and see how much moisture comes out of them.
Re: Cloudy transfer
Yes scott, mycoasters was matte.

Glad to see things went better second time around. I'll be having my first bash at sublimating something tomorrow. Think I'll top up on the YouTube bids hehe

Re: Cloudy transfer
Frostee, if you're doing coasters, the tip on the clear plastic sheet is a dandy. I used 2 different coasters when I did mine & the first ones that screwed up didn't have the plastic on them, but the second ones did. I probably would have missed it if it hadn't been for Skye's help with the Youtube link! Just thought I would mention it FYI!
There's a wealth of info here! Thanks again for all of your support!

Re: Cloudy transfer
No I didn't Frostee, but I probably would have if it wouldn't have been for Skye's link to the video. I just got lucky on the first ones I did because there wasn't any, but I wasn't looking for it either.
Have fun when your stuff arrives!
