I am thinking of getting this http://www.monsterdoodles.co.uk/pixmax_ ... press.html as a starter for printing.

I would mainly be aiming to print my football club badge, sponsorship logo and some letters/ numbers on to polo shirts and football shirts.

Looking at the combo as I can see some benefit in maybe being able to do my own promotional mugs at some point, again with my logo on it.

Look forward to seeing peoples thoughts.

hello, your main concern here is what will you be printing your images on? if its one colour vinyl then any heat press should do but as soon as you start using laser papers, printed vinyl , sublimation etc you will find the press will be a nightmare and you wished you bought a adkins or similar.

I Was looking at the heat transfer paper for the logos but wasn't 100% sure what is best.

What would people advise as best method with a heat press?

i would have transfers made up from one of the members on here, and press up, and use ready cut football numbers from target transfers or similar if you are just starting out and want to keep it all simple

I was looking at ready made number for backs of shirts, supplier recommendations would be appreciated.

Something else I have been looking for is small letters, say 1cm high. Cannot seem to see suppliers for that when searching web.

Also the logo printers recommendations appreciated.

socialgiraffe and RogerC are both used by forum members, and as i said Target transfers for the football numbers

The advice above is very good.

I bought the kit you point to when starting, maybe I just had really bad one but it was un-useable as a heat press as the heat was so uneven that the transfer paper was being deformed so much it was messing up my transfers (transfers I had made by One of the forum members listed).

I ended up traveling to the members own place of work to use his Adkins as that was the only way I could get the job done, spent a couple of hours there and learned so much. "Using what ever it takes to get the job done".

I must admit I did use the Mug Press from this kit for a while, its acceptable.

The Cap Press works also, good for sleeves and of course caps.

But if your going to spend £300 you can get a much better press for that money, look for a used One on an auction site but look for a named one.

I would hate to see someone new going through what I did - that would put a lot of people off completely - horrendous.

Heat transfer or vinyl would probably be best for polo shirts and football shirts, sublimation can only be transferred to at least 70% polyester.

How did you get on with the PixMax 5 in 1 heat press?
