help...looking for quality new tshirt set up

Hi .. I've already had some good advice but am still hesitant.

As the set up will be for different users ( service users of a substance misuse service) to make their own designs and for us to make larger amounts too, i'm just not sure what to go for.

We have around £1500 to spend and are looking for a quality t-shirt hear press, potentially a cutter and a digi printer...

The seller should be in england so that we can seek advice from or contact with difficulties.

but ,as it's not only for me, i'd like to know if anyone has any advice on a good set up for

printers, cutters, heatpress .. cutter i was suggested with the silhouette cutter (£160-170) but the rest i'm ummming and ahhhing..

any advice would be appreciated.

Its a difficult one with your Budget, with that package you will only be printing laser transfers so you are limiting yourself somewhat (until you get other equiptment that is) id also suggest that this seems a very good price for what you get in my experiance its rare you get bargins in this industry so id be quite weary is it a cheap chinease press thats up to the job ? are the printers upto the job ? can you get spares and replacements and inks papers etc? i know from printing laser transfers before it can be very finicky and the press needs to be a good press to get good results . the sihouette cutter is a good bit of kit i have the previous version a craft robo and its pretty much bomb proof . Good luck with it all but personally i think you need a larger budget although i appreciate this may not be possible

You can get away with using cheap Chinese generic presses, but if you're wanting well built robust equipment, then you need to be upping your budget, as a good quality UK built press of a big enough size to print t-shirts well, is going to eat up the majority of your budget (unless you're allowed to buy used, if your procurement rules allow it)
In terms of versatility, I do think you should be looking at sublimation, and a good sized Epson printer for this - a minimum of A3, but preferably A2. A2 to make sure you can print a good size for t-shirts, but also due to printers of this size being more reliable and robust.

For successful LASER transfere printing you need a really good press, and I don't think the one in the link is up to the job.....
look for a second hand Adkins Beta on ebay (maybe £500)
Then spend the rest on a craft robo (or bigger?) and an Oci laser printer - check it is approved for the media you want to use.
You can use inferior press for sub and vinyl, but not laser, - need really high pressure.

I know this is an old thread but that kit is over priced the heat press is a pixmax they're around 250 on ebay and the rest is sunangel system and laminator all together less than a grand

Hi...

We went with oki printer and a press from magic touch in Bedford. Really happy with it so far.

Although we did buy some cheap ink from a different source , bad move as it fades in wash lol
Should've stuck with everything from magic touch.
