Re: AAAArrrrghhhh Customers on Ebay

I sold a t-shirt to a customer via good old Ebay.

Shipped it out 1st class the same day.

The customer contacts me to say they have taken delivery of the t-shirt from the postman by hand.
But the package was ripped open and the t-shirt had a great big tear in it ?
I pointed out that really she should have refused delivery of the package, the damage was done by the Post Office so it is really down to them to correct the situation, however return it to us by post and I will investigate the damage and send out a replacement or refund.
The customer starts getting abusive about paying the return postage and refuses saying it was all my fault and that Ebay will make me refund her anyway, which unfortunately is probably true and the customers are now aware of this.

Why oh why do we bother LOL

I ask for a photograph to be sent through eBay. No return postage then, and I point out that ebay will monitor the conversation to ensure all is fair. I send a second one to say "it seams odd but the Royal mail have asked me for the photo as evidence to investigate further, I believe they may be in contact with you"......it all goes quiet then. I wonder why?

Have you heard the 'Complaint' to a well known supermarket about the Pizza with no topping ?

Here it is:
I don't use eBay for just the reasons we often here here on the furniture forum.

I do buy LOADS from eBay though and sometimes things are defective in some way - it's all weighted too much toward the buyer these days.
My website is open: www.Linksrepairshop.co.uk

Using FlexiStarter 10 and a Liyu SC631e & a Silhouette Cameo cutter. 2x Ricoh SG3110dn printers and Adkins Auto Clam press. Using Sublijet-r from Sawgrass.
..And I have gotten my money's worth out of this forum - saved Hundreds by being a Premium Member

You got to love ebay:biggrin:
I had a message this week say

" I have not got my item, but I gave the wrong address so can you send me another please!"

He went on to say he was going to contact ebay and get a refund
So he sends the wrong address which was 1 house away (house number 32 should of been 33)
And asks me to send another one out

The sad thing is if he did put a claim in from what I have read on line he has a good chance of getting a refund!
He hasn't done anything about it, maybe he crossed the road and asked if they had his mail!

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot. He who laughs last thinks slowest!

I get a lot of Australians who put the wrong address in stuff like missing the street name so its just 10 Queensland, Australia or something similar, I sometimes catch it before sending but at least 3 have gone out like that and they've complained after.
