Because I can't. I thought I made that perfectly clear...
Nope, you just said you can't, there was no reason why you can't use several suppliers :-)
Hey, you sent me these cases but I don't particularly like them as I feel they're inferior to the ones you normally sell" isn't reason enough for a refund, so I continually lose money. It's not about finding a single supplier for me; it's about finding consistency. I care about quality, so I'm not going to peddle inferior products to my customers just because my suppliers are willing to compromise if supplies are short on their usual product.
You must be using inferior suppliers, I use BMS, Subli Blanks, Longforte, TMT, Listawood to name but a few. I have never had a problem with consistency and quality of product, but if I did I am sure that anyone of those suppliers would take my goods back and return my money. I agree with you in that if your suppliers are sending something different to what they have advertised it is not good enough. If they continue to refuse to return your money then you should quote the trade descriptions act.
I have a phone shop that wants to stock some flip cases, and unless I can get the range from one supplier, I don't know they will be exactly the same design/finish/PRICE?? Some flip cases are just over £2, some are nearly £4. With tiny margins, you can't operate like that. You don't know when you come to restock how much you're going to have to pay.
Why can the shop not stock flip cases in different finishes? The owner of an S4 case will not be looking at an Iphone case so I do not understand the problem. Also, you said that it wasn't about saving the money, but then you have just said it is. Phone cases have one of the highest mark ups in sublimation that I know of, so I really do not see how it comes down to price, and there must be a huge difference in the case that is sold to you at £2 and the one at £4. Pretty much all the reputable suppliers are within range of each other (they are certainly not double) there must be something else to give it a higher price.

From your list, I only use BMS and Subli Blanks. Longforte only sell i4 and i5 3D cases and I already have 400+ of each so they have nothing to offer me, and neither Longforte or Magic Touch have 3D cases... at least they've never listed any whenever I've been looking through their stock. I therefore also use Subli/Meshtex, Coralgraph, and Xpres. I know you likely think I'm an idiot who doesn't know what he's doing, but I'm not some kid who decided to dabble in printing... I'm in my forties and have been in business for twenty-five years thus far, so I do know the importance of shopping around for a reliable supplier, but I just disagree with being forced to do so because my usual suppliers are inconsistent. Even with the 500 iPhone 5 cases I bought from one supplier that I have sitting here, around 300 of them have the BestSub 'B' imprint on the inside whereas the other 200 or so don't. Out of those which don't, at least half of them have enough of a bend at the top left (as you look at the inside of the case) so that they don't properly grab the case. I sent back 500 S4 cases because they sent four different brands - one was seriously flexy, another couldn't take a print properly at all, and the other two didn't have a protective film over them so they'd got scratched in transit... albeit hairline scratches, but still enough that I wasn't prepared to accept them.

I personally think that the problem is the 3D market - it's saturated with a lot of cheap manufacturers and when the decent manufacturers don't have enough stock, the suppliers will turn to the cheaper guys (or maybe they're just doing it for the margins, I don't know) so that the end user (who is used to a certain level of quality from that supplier) ends up with having no choice but to use what they have because nobody else has enough in stock and the orders have to go out. There are times when I've had to go through my listings and remove certain phone models for weeks until I can get hold of the decent stock again. This is the only sector where I've ever had to do that.

It honestly is nothing to do with price, for me; it's about being able to consistently supply the same high-quality products to my customers. I crack on though.

Not at all Arty, not sure why you think that, but it is not the case (excuse the pun!)

I am in agreement with you, your usual supplier should be supplying consistent high quality blanks, and if they are not then I would take it up with them.

You are probably right in that it is a saturated market which is why there are such huge variations (similar to dye sub mugs). Luckily I have purchased from BMS and Subli Blanks and not had the same problems as you are having.... yet!

We used to get supply issue's here cases were often out of stock. It is not surprising on some of the less popular cases like HTC etc but was annoying on iPhones and Samsungs which are the most popular. Different suppliers do have various versions. For instance, some flip cases have full white front for printing and others of the same model have a 3/4 print panel. Some 3d cases have the bar along the volume gaps etc whilst others are open. It does make it hard for continuity but if you are buying from the UK then you need to up stock quantities you hold. I now fully source all different cases from one Chinese supplier. Once you do your homework and find who has the quality and consistancy life becomes easier (and more profitable). There are very good suppliers in China who can get stock accross to you within 5 working days. Even get faulty cases sorted out.

After reading all of this and already having problems with iPhone 5/5s cases that don't fit I will def be using the reputable suppliers mentioned from now on.
