Re: slight discolouration by handle on mugs

Can anyone tell me why when using my 3D Sub Press for printing mugs I am getting a slight discolouration around and under the handle of the mug.
The part of the mug covered by the silicone mug wrap and tape keeping the transfer paper in place remains fine, however, where the mug isn't covered by the wrap or tape gets discoloured in parts.
If I try reducing the time the mugs are in the press for, the print quality is reduced affecting the overall look.

You may find that the discoloration may be residue ink that turns to gas each time you use the press. I believe that Mr Giraffe on this forum runs his vacuum press with nothing in it so as to draw out all of the sublimation ink gas that is still in it. I hope that makes sense.
Many thanks
Iain

Equipment used A4 Ricoh printer, HP3085 Heat Press Graphtec cutter, Jarin mug press, CJV 30-60 solvent printer and lots of help from DSF.
