I have sold stuff on ebay and have 100% feedback, 2years ago I was below standard for a time and couldn't sell because someone on feedback put 3stars for a postage price, but still left positive feedback, but you have to get 5 stars,

A customer asking a question after purchase is also a defect. If they don't choose the top option, any other reason is seen as a defect. On a mission to clear out small sellers in favour of the outlet stores. I'd love to see one of those eBay executives on Watchdog trying to spin how the defect system is good for it's customers..the sellers.

Most buyers rate each experience out of 5, assuming one 5 star will give the seller a great overall rating but nit picking can be done on the other stars.
ebay need to learn how buyers think. And ebay need to allow more room for the comments field, especially when praising a seller. And ebay needs to have some way to read that comments field - maybe flaggins key words like 'great' or 'sucks'.

I think ebay should take more note to the sellers too,
A few weeks ago I got my first negative from over 1000's sales....
Why!
Because I sold a gel trim that "Didn't stick"
Confused because!
I dont sell these as self adhesive so why did they think they would stick
Strange but... ebay were no help, not even a reply when I sent them a message!!
(I understand they get 10'000's of questions about unfair feedback)
But it's like if I order a water bottle then complain there's no water in it :rolleyes:

Why didn't you call eBay Customer Support and get the feedback removed? If its unfair, incorrect or violates their T&Cs they will remove it (and any associated ratings) quickly.

today i have had to open a case, for item not delivered, emailed seller but no joy so, had to open case for first time, Here's what you have to do next:
Please allow a few days for the seller to respond to your request in the eBay Resolution Centre.
If the seller doesn't respond or if you aren't satisfied with the seller's response to your request by 27 Jan, 2015, please let us know. On that date, you can escalate your request to eBay Customer Support. A customer support agent will then review your request and get back to you with a decision within 48 hours.
What you should know:
If we don't hear from you by 18 Feb, 2015, we'll assume that things have been resolved, and your request will be closed. Note that once a request is closed, you won't be eligible for a refund through eBay Money Back Guarantee for the item.
