Can I please ask a couple of questions (struggling to find info anywhere)
using the magictouch ttc+3.1 paper and oki laser
- do I just place the paper on the item (ie. apron) or should I be taping it on?
- do you cut round the text/image or press the whole sheet (regardless of how much of it is covered)
- does anyone have a good resource I could refer to (...have done a couple of presses but no idea how to interpret - the first one the colour (black) was quite milky in most places and I couldn't get the transfer paper off in one corner, the second one (same temp, longer time) the colour is loads better but the bottom of the image is very patchy

Re: DF30 Swing Away Press
okey dokey.....
Firstly have a look at the videos on the Magic Touch Website, they give you a good start.
No need to tape the paper on the product as long as you are not somewhere windy. It will hold on the item while you swing the press back into position.
For a nicer finish it is better to trim the excess white. Laser papers are superb but do leave a hand print which is waxy in its feel. People recommend that you tear the edges, apparently that gives a softer edge
You need to have heavy pressure on your heat press and I press at 170 for 15 seconds. I am not sure if that is the recommended time or not, it just works for me.
Lastly, you need to peel straight away otherwise it will stick to the item
Good luck and if you struggle The Magic Touch have a superb customer service so give them a call...

Re: DF30 Swing Away Press
Still got my numpty head on - can I please ask another question.
Tote/shopping bags - can you print on both sides of them and if you can, do i have to do anything to protect the already printed side?

Re: DF30 Swing Away Press
Yes these are the same material all over so you can print all sides. A sheet of silicon paper wil protect the printed side.
Re: DF30 Swing Away Press
Ah, thank you. One more silly question, do I put the teflon sheet in the actual bag to protect the printed side?
