Does anyone know if you can use only SunAngel transfer media or can you use other manufactors transfer papers ?

Im really wanting to add another option to our sublimation, and HTV. If my son has his way it will be a screening printing system , I am wanting the easier option😄

Other papers are fine I use a lot of TMT papers through mine and also vinyl for making vinyl stickers and it's no problem at all.

AfterMo, thanks. so basically from what you say if I understand you correctly I can try any of the laser transfer papers. when using the white toner is it better to stick with the SunAngel transfers ?.
I'm nearly ready to push the button but I would have liked to be able to see more samples of peoples work.

no use what ever you get on with best..... WOW works fine IF..... IF you have a good enough press and WOW pad and the textured after pressing pad also. Get a sample pack from SunAngel and TMT and see which you get on best with. The C711 is just toooooooooooo expensive to test the waters with in my opinion. If you find it takes off for you then you could upgrade BUT what a high price.

Thanks again AfterMo, I will do that and ask for some samples. Oh I would love to buy the C711, but just have the funds for that. It is very pricey.
Im really just starting out, actually I'm a pensioner .....LOL ....but one of my sons is very interested though as I wrote before he likes the idea of a screenprinting system.

Well I will find out shortly whether I like the SunAngel as I ordered the SunAngel 32WB this afternoon, with two packs of 10 of the Ultrabright Pro 2 paper. If I like it I will get the colour version in a couple of weeks.

Ive read all the posts where SocialGiraffe has said that the TMT system works out cheaper in the end, but I just don't have the funds to go for that, plus as I am still learning and only doing this small scale I think it will take me a quite a while to reach a 1000 T-Shirts.

So which other papers do you advise as the best to try. If I understand correctly it would be the WOW7.2 not the 7.7. ? from TMT

I have spent allot of years quilting, but must say I'm finding this much more fun, well right now I am

Hi Kath,
How are you getting on with the 32WB printer?

Cheers!

Hi Nigel,
The printer arrived yesterday and to be honest things did not go quite as planned. The first design came out fine but I ended up ruining it because of my own error.
The second attempt was not so successful but I think I needed the pressure on my heat press to be heavier. I also managed to ruin two sheets because the stupid printer was set to duplex and I did not realize. ....LOL....
I will update when I get chance to try again. I'm hoping the hiccups were down to me rushing to much to try it out.
