Wondering if anyone can help me at all please?

Got my sample pack from BMS and have downloaded and installed the colour profile per the instructions.

Am now wondering a couple of things:

1) do I actually have to do anything to "use" the colour profile? (and if so how/where)
2) do I select the powerdriver or the ricoh when sending the file to print?

From a very clueless Maggie!

What are you printing from? Is it Photoshop, Coreldraw or something else? As i know how to do it on Corel. I do know that you print through the Ricoh and not powerdrive.
Also try here http://www.sublitocotton.co.uk/downloads.html
Many thanks

Hi Quinsfan!

Thanks for your reply and the link (that was where I got the colour profile from....and the instructions are the same as supplied with the sample kit)

Okay, so printing through the Ricoh is a start - thanks so much. Am printing from Indesign

I know that when I set it up, with some help from Scotty at BMS, I had to go into the colour management of corel and turn somethings on. I am so not computer minded!!
When you have printed the image all I will say is cover the image with the powder thoroughly, not just a sprinkle. You know how you put glitter onto a card with glue. Cover the whole lot and then shake it about a bit and then let the excess drop off. Hope that makes sense.
Many thanks

We will need to know what software you are using to give you instructions on how to use a profile. What the profile does is tell the printer how to print the colours correctly so you will need to turn off colour management in whichever software you are using.

Thanks Quinsfan for the tip about coverage.

gelerion - thanks, think I have got there now. Got the profile assigned in Indesign and the colour management is set to the printer profile (hope i am saying things right! it's all a bit techy for me!)
