I see that quite a few people have mentioned using these for cooling the cases after the heat process, is it ok to just leave them on the jig you are using or do I need to get some actual dummy phones?

Also the speed of cooling do I leave them to cool naturally or is it imperative that I put them in cold water straight away please?

Hi Adam,

All personal preference of course. I think the best way (myself) would be to get the case onto a dummy phone and dunk into water ASAP. Theoretically the case should then be near as damn it molded to the right shape. Other options are to leave to cool on the jig or to transfer the case to a cold jig.

Thanks Scott, don't suppose you know where I could get some cheap dummy phones from?

If they are too cheap they may not be the right size. Yes they may be advertised as XXX Dummy phone, but often they turn out to be under or over sized to the real ones, so be careful when you buy!
