Re: Blacks not sublimating completely
Hi guys
Thanks to martin At BMS & Julia at The Transfer Press i'm off to a flyer
Encountered a problem with my sublimating.
My technique is as follows:
Prepare mug wrap in teflon sheet & insert into press closing nice & tight.
Press is cold & set at 180c, 60 seconds
I wait until press is at 180c then 60 secs start.
Mug is cooled completely in water after countdown has finished
My problem:
Blacks are'nt sublimating fully & coming out hazy instead of pure black
All my other mugs are sublimating awesome with good colour tone & detail.
Any solutions? Am i using correct sub technique & timings? Any feedback would be appreciated
Regards joel

Re: Blacks not sublimating completely
Mine go for 3 minutes, I don't think you are cooking them long enough

Re: Blacks not sublimating completely
This is why I asked about the press. I know some folk do it this way, personally it's always up to temp, 180c and then cook 180 secs.
Re: Blacks not sublimating completely
I do the same as Justin, re time/temps
Have you tried doing one with blacks for longer than 60 secs?
